Swath planning

  • A field boundary can be loaded or digitized using the Field tab
  • When loading a shp. File, the following query about the import of the database attributes can be “confirmed” with Cancel.

  • Confirm and select the loaded field boundary with OK (= marked in red).
  • If necessary, existing lanes can be imported via the Layer Import (folder symbol right edge).

  • Define the field boundary that serves as the starting point for swath planning.
  • Note:
    Basically, in the lane planning module, the starting line, which is defined by two points, is the starting point for all planning. To make an existing line (irrigation) the starting point for planning, the field on this line must be divided.

  • To do this, press the +symbol (above LEFT) and select the start and end point of a lane or an auxiliary line and press Split
  • When selecting auxiliary lines, “start and end point” of the line must be selected!
  • Helplines can only be created in the desktop view!
  • To the right of the Split button, you can now switch between the divided areas to create different lane plans.

  • Click the Set Start Line button and pick two points on the field boundary to create a start line.
  • Now pick two points on the field boundary to create a stop line. (Is selected automatically after the start line has been created)
  • You can change the working width under the Swaths tab.

  • After creating a swath plan, you can create your own swath plan for another section of the field if required.
  • To display all lane planning, select the tab Total → Show all parts.

  • The planning is confirmed and saved with OK.
  • You can export the planning with the Export button. Make sure that the field name has not yet been assigned. Otherwise it will be overwritten if necessary.
